My sister and I used to work at Bonanza Steakhouse Family Restaurant in Yorkton. What great memories! Unfortunately, Bonanza is no more in Yorkton... it is now a Sport Mart, which is such a shame! I enjoyed working at Bonanza so much in Yorkton, that I also worked at Bonanza on Circle Drive in Saskatoon, while attending university. Unfortunately, this Bonanza is no more either... it is still a restaurant though, Johnny Boys (which my husband enjoys... they are known for their fried chicken buffet).The Bonanza on 8th Street is still open. Visit this website to download a coupon for a Buy One, Get One salad bar for either lunch or supper, as long as you buy two drinks. It is a bit misleading, as there is much more than salad on the salad bar. It includes soup, bread, desserts, an ice cream bar and plenty of hot items, depending on the day including: perogies, mushroom sauce, potato skins and more. The other day when we went for supper they were serving chicken strips, fish sticks and mashed potatoes and gravy.
